bloodinthestone is an impossibility. Unless it isn’t, unless you know the blood to be in there, unless you make the impossible possible. Blood in the Stone is also a vision of how every person is connected in a very physical way to the places where they exist—a vital part of every one of us contained in both the earth we inhabit now and have since left. We are Midwesterners who live on the coasts, West Coast transposed to East Coast, East Coasters making lives in the desert, Mountain People learning to live on flat land. We are uprooted and we seek to understand what that means and how we make new roots for ourselves in foreign soil. We do this by making new theater happen.
